AKIRS Hosts Law Students on Taxation Excursion

The Executive Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Internal Revenue Service (AKIRS), Sir Okon Okon, on  Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, received students from the Faculty of Law, University of Uyo, who embarked on an educational excursion to the agency.  

The visit provided a valuable opportunity for the students to engage with tax experts and gain deeper insights into taxation, revenue generation, and fiscal policies.

Through interactive sessions and practical exposure, they enhanced their understanding of the legal frameworks governing taxation, equipping them with essential knowledge for their future careers as legal professionals.  

The students were led by Mr. Inyeneobong Bassey, a 500-level Law student from the Faculty of Law, University of Uyo, and a representative of the Justice Udoudoma Chambers.
