AKIRS To Business Owners: File Your Annual Returns Of Income From All Business Sources

The Akwa Ibom State Internal Revenue Service (AKIRS) wishes to inform the general public that, in compliance with the provisions of section 41 and 47 of Personal Income Tax Act 2011 and section 24(2) (f) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, all registered business owners in the state, should file in their Annual Returns of income from all business sources for 2024, on or before 19th of May 2025.

The Annual Returns of Income form should be returned with the following documents

-Evidence of payment for the past three years, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

-Business Income Records, such as audited financial statements and other relevant documents showing business income for these relevant years and other existing sources of income.

You are please advised to comply to reduce subsequent yearly tax liabilities, avoid penalties and benefit from favourable business opportunities.
