ANNOUNCEMENT

The Akwa Ibom State Internal Revenue Service, AKIRS, wishes to inform the public that it has phased out the old tax clearance certificate. Consequently, AKIRS has commenced issuance of a new tax clearance certificate to taxpayers since October 1, 2024. 

The new tax clearance certificate is embellished with more security features minted to further improve the quality and integrity of the certificate.

Introduction of the new tax clearance certificate is in line with the our commitment to upholding one of our core values of providing taxpayers excellent services with integrity. 

All tax clearance certificates issued on/before 30th September 2024, remain valid till 31st December.
